Threading Pasta- Colour Patterning

With older kids, you can make lacing more complex by getting them to do simple patterning with threading coloured pasta.

Just paint or colour the pasta with colouring pens for the different sets of colours.

You can start with 2-colour (A-B) patterns  (e.g. green and red) and then progress to 3-colour (A-B-C) patterns (e.g. green, red, yellow)

This enhances their visual discrimination and visual memory and patterning skills which are important Math concepts.
